We are so thankful and happy that we won the Halden Kulturkole competition called "Håndverksglød". The budget was granted from DNB Stiftelsen to Kulturskole Halden, who chose us to make the project. The goal is to bring hand crafting arts closer to schoolchildren.

We went with our project to seven ground schools in Halden, and gave the children an insight into the wonderful art of Glass Fusing. Each child was able to draw his own (or several) motive, translate it into a reliev, and see it transformed it through heat in a wonderful, unique and shimmery glass tile.

We visited each school four times, once a week. During three hours, the pupils were highly concentrated on their works, and learned and did things they will probably never forget. It has been a highly valuable experience for all involved parties: the children, the also interested teachers, and of course Glasskule.
